Comet Hale-Bopp / Mar. 26, 1997

These are my latest photos of Comet Hale-Bopp, and as you can see, the comet is sure looking great in the evening sky! Both these photos are several minute exposures on ASA 3200 film. The one on the left is with a 200 mm f 3.0 telephoto lens with the camera riding piggyback on my observatory's main telescope. The one on the right was taken about 30 minutes later with a 50mm f1.7 (normal) lens to show the comet and the horizon.
